Bunzo Beads

Still on the Bunzo bandwagon - quickly drew this one at lunchtime - for this one I used black gel pen and coloured with a soft blue gel pen with a shimmer.  It looks very pretty in real - not sure if you can see the blue sheen.

Weekly Challenge #93: New Official Tangle "Bunzo"

I want to thank Laura for taking time to post this Week's Challenge. Artoo has just had his tonsils out and is having some difficulties - best wishes for a quick recovery Artoo.

The challenge is to incorporate a brand new official tangle called 'Bunzo'.  I quite enjoyed drawing it and it came together quite quickly.  I started late last night and I so wanted to finish it but it was heading towards 1.30am so really needed to get some zzzzs so I finished it today during my lunchbreak today - the greeny/grey background is photo enhanced.  I was testing a few backgrounds and stumbled upon this - I do like it!.  After work I went for another one (in orange - tile size).  This time I didn't shade in but added dots with a white gel pen.  The background is one I did on the weekend using stamping ink in Rose and Marigold.

I'm going to have to think  about using this tangle in another way, so as not to look like it belongs in the sea - a bit tricky I think - for me anyway as that is what it reminds me of.

So head on over here to check out some other interpretations - I know I will.

Enjoy! thanks for looking.

  3. Like them both but like what you did in "filling" in the top one. Have not seen that done and makes it look like an entirely different tangle. Very creative. The second almost reminds me of a pile of jewels.

  5. Both are gorgeous. The green one is a perfect background. I love the orange one too, it looks like a stained glass window in a churc and outside is the sun burning. Nice effect.

    1. Hi Dilip, thank you for your comments - I use 'picmonkey' to put frames on my works - you don't need an account either which is good!

  15. Love them all but the first with the touch of blue wins this week. It's like a chunky necklace that is a spillover from the 'beads of courage' challenge.
